It’s been a little quiet around here this summer but just in time for that ‘back to school’ feeling, I can finally reveal that I will be writing a travel guidebook. It will be a regional travel guide, but a bit different to your usual Rough Guides/Lonely Planets. The focus will be on what makes the place special – quirky facts, unique events, profiles of interesting people, local traditions.

I can’t wait to get started! Publication will be next summer. It’s for a Dutch publisher so I’ll get to see my work printed in another language, pretty cool!

I have a long list of things to include/research/photograph over the next few months, but if you know of any typical or unique Sussex events that I should feature, please let me know. I’m also keen to include a section on local food and drink producers so leave me a comment if you know of any I just have to include.
