La belle France

I’m planning a trip to France later on this year. Probably will have a week, maybe 10 days, beginning of September I think.

Of course, I want to finally, finally get back to

  • Montpellier
  • . Wander through the

  • Jardin des Plantes
  • , up to Peyrou and look out over the Cevennes in the distance. Then head into town, though narrow cool medieval streets, down to my favourite tiny square, where I used to sit on many afternoons at a cafe that did a Galette Catalane (buckwheat crepe filled with ratatouille and gruyere) to die for.

I want to get out into the Cevennes, do a bit of gentle kayaking. Would love to go back to the Cirque de Navacelles, but not sure if this is practical by public transport.

The photos are from when I was living in Montpellier btw.

ahhh beautiful ! I don’t know Montpellier well, only spent a weekend there but would love to go back. And the Cevennes are gorgeous. The little villages along the Gorges du Tarn – I remember one called Sainte Enimie in particular… Lovely.
